Changing Time and Date

I England (UK) when the seasons change we get so many companies calling us asking how we can change the Time and Date on our telephones. On all the older Nortel Meridian Norstar Telephone system such as the Compact, Compact Plus, Modular and the Modular Plus telephone systems you have to do this manually using the Nortel Meridian M7310 or M7324 Telephones. The newer Nortel Telephone Systems such as the BCM50, BCM200, BCM400 and now the latest BCM450 dose it automatically.

To start you would need to leave the receiver down and lay your programming overlay on the telephone then enter the following:

1 – Press FEATURE ** 266344 then on the screen it will show PASSWORD.

2 – Enter 23646 you should have SPEED DIAL appear on the screen.

3 – You now need to pres the NEXT Key until you see TIME & DATE appear on your screen.

4 – You then press the SHOW key until the Hour appears for you to change.

5 – You then press CHANGE and then enter the correct Hour using the keypad.

6 – Once you have done this you then press next and then change the minutes.

7 – You will then be at Date, simply carry on as before using the CHANGE and NEXT keys.

8 – Once you have entered the correct TIME & DATE you simply press the Rls key to come out of programming.

The instructions that I have given above work on the older type of Nortel Meridian Telephone Systems, if this do not work on your Telephone Systems then by clinking on this link you will see others way to do this.

I am a Nortel Engineer and install these Telephone Systems so if you have any  problems please do not hesitate to comment on this article.

  1. Hi

I tried this on my Meridian M7310 telephone and it did not work, is this because my system software is to old or to new. I will try to post again with my software level, all i know is that it’s a Nortel BCM50 Telephone system and it is 3 years old

    Thankyou Meridian-Norstar
